About Dr. Sendra Yang
Dr. Sendra Yang, PharmD, MBA is a trained pharmacist with two years of residency experience and nearly a decade of work in clinical and academic pharmacy. She also has extensive expertise in medical communication and information within the pharmaceutical field. Dr. Yang is deeply committed to addressing health education and the social determinants of health in minority and underrepresented communities, particularly among Asian Americans in the Hmong and Southeast Asian populations.In addition to her healthcare background, Dr. Yang is Co-founder and President of the North Carolina Hmong Women Association. She is a dedicated advocate and leader who works to advance health equality, mental health initiatives, and community development. She focuses on reducing stigma and increasing access to culturally and linguistically appropriate care for marginalized groups, including seniors, and ESL speakers. Her efforts extend to volunteer recruitment, disaster relief, and educational programs, showcasing her passion for empowering underrepresented populations. Dr. Yang's work include collaborating with diverse organizations and stakeholders, hosting impactful events, and securing resources to address critical community needs.
